Starting the installation process is sometimes painful...but of course I had to start somewhere...so I started with a tiny greenish spot made by a misplaced light...it was the only anomaly in this pristine space. I decided to break the ice with my favorite of all of my materials — Piano Wire. After I stuck it into the wall, I began sculpting the first letters for the first word of my gallery-sized sentence. My first letter was S and I realized that it was far too readable. I fixed that. The next letters were O-F and T. They can't be seen from the same view point so in order to absorb the complete word (with limited legibility) the dedicated viewer would look a lot like J-Lo to a passer-by.

These pieces are currently on a massive wall all to themselves...which makes the tiny anatomy feel even more vulnerable and fragile. With already an evening, a morning and a deep afternoon gone, I'm wondering if my little machines will be able to handle the immense weight of the negative space...I guess we'll see...
